Infor joins Gartner’s leaders quadrant

Infor has been positioned by Gartner in the leaders quadrant in the “Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) for Manufacturing” report. Gartner evaluates vendors in its Magic Quadrant on “Completeness of Vision” and “Ability to Execute”.

The report defines leaders as vendors with “a global presence, a large installed base in manufacturing, strong viability, and a combination of rich features that include functionality, interfaces to many different ERP (and supporting EAM) applications, and a capable and global implementation partner community.”

In difficult economies, EAM is an important tool for manufacturing companies to increase profitability, says John Murphy, Director: Product Marketing, EAM, Infor. “Infor EAM helps companies reduce the labour costs associated with maintaining equipment, avoid expensive asset downtime and uncover lost revenue by tracking warranty claims. We consider our position in the leaders quadrant a confirmation of the value our customers receive from this solution.”

Gartner based its evaluation on Infor EAM Enterprise Edition. The solution allows customers to maintain, manage and improve the performance of their capital asset infrastructure, including manufacturing equipment, fleets and facilities. It combines asset management functionality and reporting with analytics to deliver a powerful platform for optimising enterprise asset performance.

In addition to Infor EAM Enterprise Edition, Infor offers Infor EAM Asset Sustainability Edition, to help companies reduce the energy consumption and carbon emissions of their assets, and Infor EAM Business Edition, designed to meet the specialised requirements of small to mid-sized businesses.
