Walter_Bredell_pic_3.JPGIntegr8 Telecoms (Pty) Ltd., a company within the Integr8 Group, has announced its intention to establish a competitive presence within the rapidly developing local telecommunications services market.

The company, in association with several joint venture partners, is to target the VoIP space and offer what they believe to be a cost effective, reliable service to clients.

“With the evolving telecoms market and people demanding cheaper telecoms and better service, Integr8 Telecoms, with their joint venture partners across Africa, have entered into the VOIP market,” says Walter Bredell, CEO, Integr8 FAX/ Telecoms.

Bredell points to the strength of Integr8 Telecoms’ expertise, its extensive sales force and market experience in infrastructure management as key strengths in the campaign.

“With inter-connects and access to clients through our infrastructure, it is now possible to change the normal TDM Telkom client platform, to a VoIP service with quality of service for better and cheaper phone calls. No need for a client to change existing company PABX (Infrastructure), we integrate with all brands in the market,” he adds. “In essence Integr8 will install a gateway behind the existing infrastructure of the client, changing normal TDM services from the PABX into a VoIP solution.”

According to Bredell there is clearly a move within the market towards telecoms via the I.P route.

“All the major players are implementing IP solutions and selling VOIP solutions. Altech’s fight with ICASA just proves the competition is on for space in the I.P. game. And, of course there is WiMax, everyone is competing for space in the Wi Max game, that is the obvious next step,” he continues.
