More than 20,000 people have now registered to try the new beta versions of the Panda Software 2008 consumer product lineup.
This range comprises Panda Antivirus 2008, Panda Antivirus+Firewall 2008 and Panda Internet Security 2008.
We are very happy with the response from users. Getting more than 20,000 registrations is a great achievement that demonstrates the interest among users for this new product line. We have no doubt that the number of registered users will increase throughout July,” says Jeremy Matthews, CE of Panda Software South Africa.
All solutions in the 2008 consumer product lineup are Vista-compatible and include a series of new features such as greater
malware detection capacity, new low-level scanning for rootkits and a system for blocking malicious web pages, to boost protection against spyware and phishing. Panda Internet Security 2008 also has a tune-up feature to improve computer performance and a local backup option.
I have to take my hat off to them, because they have a first-class product. I have noticed no system slowdown, and have had no problemsor bugs, enthuses one of the beta-testers that has tried these solutions.
Panda Software will be holding a prize drawing for 2 PSP (Play Station Portable) among users that download beta versions of Panda
Antivirus + Firewall 2008 or Panda Internet Security 2008 and who, after registering, report any incidents.
These beta versions are available free from the Beta Area of Panda’s website. By testing this version, users will be able to play an active part in its certification and development, sending all suggestions and comments to beta@pandasoftware.com.
The beta versions give users the chance to test the functioning of products to identify possible problems. At the same time they offer Panda Software a channel for gathering suggestions and needs from
users.
