THE Motorola Solutions business of Motorola, Inc, has highlighted the importance of advanced communication systems to
the success of East Africa companies with the launch of its road show in Kenya, which runs from October 26-27.
The event will see Motorola deliver the first ever live demonstration of its Dimetra IP Micro system on the African continent, which is designed to offer businesses a complete end-to-end portfolio of digital radio technology.

It will also serve to introduce the TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio) digital radios to the East Africa market.

Motorola is a world leading supplier of TETRA digital radio technologies offering secure, reliable and efficient communications which are customised to meet the needs of mission critical users and a wide range of vertical markets including industries such as oil and gas, transport, utilities and logistics.
“Kenya is a priority for Motorola in the African market,” explained Nicolas Coussinoux, regional sales manager, Enterprise Mobility Solutions, Motorola Africa. “Motorola’s world-leading expertise in TETRA digital radio technologies, along with our extensive portfolio of products, applications and services means that we can offer customers a complete communication solution for their business requirements.”

The Dimetra IP Small System range offers end-to-end TETRA digital radio solutions including infrastructure, terminals, applications and services based on the TETRA standard.

The MOTOTRBO solution provides a complete digital portfolio based on the Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) standard.
Over the two day road show, Motorola will also showcase its latest wireless offerings to Kenya’s expanding marketplace. The Wireless Broadband Solutions (WiBB) portfolio offers tailored wireless products that connect people and deliver information at high speeds in real time.

A session on enterprise products and their distribution networks will round off the two day event. This will focus on Motorola’s vast portfolio of enterprise mobility solutions that deliver products across industries, offering seamless connectivity and real time information to the user.

The showcasing of these products confirms Motorola’s position as market leader for end-to-end quality communications solutions to customers in Kenya.
