Microsoft’s official South African commercial distributor for its Surface products, Core, has announced the availability of the Surface Pro 12-inch and Surface Laptop 13-inch.
Both powered by Snapdragon X Plus processors, they are now available to the South African business market. Core is providing reliable and efficient access to the new devices, offering resellers and businesses.
This next-generation lineup of Copilot+ PCs marks a bold step into the future of computing for South African businesses, delivering exceptional performance, advanced security, and harnessing the full potential of hybrid AI to maximize productivity.
“Hybrid AI is the future,” said John Press, Microsoft Surface Business Unit Head at Core. “With Copilot+ PCs, we’re delivering performance, intelligence, and battery life that redefine what’s possible for professionals, students, and creators in South Africa.”

The new Copilot+ PCs, with built-in Neural Processing Units (NPUs), enable on-device AI processing and unlock seamless, intelligent experiences across Windows 11, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and a growing ecosystem of AI-enhanced applications. The compact, powerful design of these new devices, along with Snapdragon’s energy-efficient architecture, ensures powerful performance and all-day productivity for on-the-go professionals across multiple industries.

The built-in Microsoft Pluton security processor equips the devices and automatically activates to safeguard sensitive business data, ensuring end-to-end protection even if a device is misplaced.

The Surface for Business range provides flexibility for every working style and is a sleek and dependable choice for everyday productivity, while the Surface Pro offers the versatility of a tablet with the performance of a laptop.

For professionals who need to stay connected on the move, Microsoft will launch the Surface Laptop with 5G later this year, delivering reliable high-speed connectivity anywhere.
