Since its founding in 2019, Kim Kardashian has transformed SKIMS into a $4 billion company, now recognized as the most influential celebrity-owned apparel label. SKIMS consistently ranks in the top three across various metrics: it is the most searched on Google with two million monthly US searches, double that of the second-ranked brand. The shapewear company ranks second for website traffic with approximately 12 million monthly visitors and is highly newsworthy, with over 55,000 mentions in news articles. Visitors spend over three minutes on the site on average, more than double the industry average. SKIMS boasts the third-largest social media following, with over 7.8 million across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, and X.
Fabletics- second
Fabletics by Kate Hudson holds the second position, ranking third for monthly website visitors at 11.9 million and boasting the longest average dwell time at three minutes and 43 seconds. Fabletics is the second most Googled brand with over one million monthly searches. It is also the fourth most newsworthy and fifth most followed brand online.
Savage X Fenty- third
Savage X Fenty, owned by Rihanna, secures the third spot among powerful celebrity-owned brands. It ranks third for site traffic with over 2.7 million monthly visitors and the second longest average visit time. Savage X Fenty also ranks fourth on Google searches.
Yeezy- fourth
Yeezy by Kanye West holds the fourth position, mentioned in online news sources over 110,000 times, the highest among all brands. Despite attracting the highest number of monthly visitors at 13.8 million, users spend relatively little time on the site, just over one minute on average. Yeezy ranks third for Google searches, accumulating nearly 800,000 per month in the US.
eponymous label- fifth
Victoria Beckham’s eponymous label takes fifth place with the largest online following, totaling 51.4 million, predominantly from Instagram with 64%. However, it ranks below the top ten in website traffic, newsworthiness, and Google search visibility.
Good American- sixth
Rounding out the sixth to tenth positions are Good American by Khloe Kardashian, Stella McCartney, Kristin Cavallari’s Uncommon James, Draper James by Reese Witherspoon, and rapper Drake’s October’s Very Own.
Popular brands that didn’t make the top ten
Several brands narrowly missed the top ten in influence despite their celebrity ownership, including Khy by Kylie Jenner in 12th place, followed by The Row in 13th owned by the Olsen twins. Justin Bieber’s Drew House ranked 14th, while Ivy Park by Beyoncé secured the 18th spot.
Founder of Chummy Tees, Josh Neuman, comments on the study, “Kim Kardashian’s brand has blown Kanye’s out the water despite being around for half as long. SKIMS ranks among the best celebrity-owned clothing brands for every factor. It’s clear her influence and business acumen have resulted in an insanely influential and loved brand by consumers.”
