Flutterwave, Africa’s payments technology company in Africa, has appointed Dipo Fatokun as the new Chairman of Flutterwave Technologies Solutions Limited, reinforcing its commitment to the highest regulatory, compliance, and governance standards.
Mr. Fatokun brings over 30 years of extensive experience across various domains including banking services, finance, strategy, advisory, leadership, and management in both public and private sectors. Notably, during his tenure as a Director at CBN, he spearheaded key initiatives such as the Cashless Nigeria Initiative, the Bank Verification Number project, and the Treasury Single Account (TSA) for the Federal Government, along with automating foreign currency payments for the Central Bank’s internal and external customers. His expertise will further strengthen Flutterwave’s adherence to industry best practices as it progresses on its growth trajectory.
Also joining the board is Tosin Faniro-Dada, a distinguished ecosystem builder and investor known for empowering tech founders across Africa, as an Independent Non-Executive Director. With over 17 years of experience in finance, specializing in corporate banking and investment management, Tosin’s career commenced with auditing mutual and private equity funds at PwC in Boston. Now a Partner at Breega, a rapidly growing early-stage VC fund in Europe and Africa, she actively supports founders in addressing significant economic and social challenges. Her wealth of knowledge, solid expertise, and passion for the ecosystem will enhance Flutterwave’s role as a catalyst for tech startups across Nigeria.
Welcoming the new appointments, Olugbenga “GB” Agboola, CEO, and Founder of Flutterwave, emphasized the company’s unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest regulatory and operational standards. Mr. Fatokun, who has served on more than five boards in the last decade, currently chairs the Board Audit and Governance Committee of United Capital Plc and serves as the managing partner at Jasfolim Consulting, where he contributes to transforming Nigeria’s payment system through advisory services for public and private companies.
