TPV Gulf, the company in charge of AOC and Philips brand of monitors, has announced the appointment of their new distributor, East Asia for Computer Systems, in order to maintain its presence in the Egyptian market. “The ICT sector achieved a growth rate of about 16.4 per cent, the highest at the level of the State’s sectors, and its contribution to GDP is about 8 per cent, according to the economic performance indicators for the second quarter of the current fiscal year 2018-2019,” as stated in an announcement made by Egypt’s Ministry of Planning, Follow-Up and Administrative Reform.
“The partnership with East Asia for Computer Systems will allow us to leverage the strengths of both the brands to improve our market position and also enables us to focus on expanding market leadership position across industry verticals in Egypt. Backed by the widest product portfolio of display solutions coupled with our channel-friendly partner programme we are sure that this partnership will drive the growth for both AOC and Philips to [the] next level,” said Sameh Gamal, Business Development Manager for MEA at TPV Gulf.
“We are confident that with two of the world’s leading brands, Philips and AOC in our portfolio, we will be able to provide the widest range of innovative and best value display technology display solutions to our customers spread across the country including Cairo, Alexandria Delta and Upper Egypt,” Hany Mahmoud Salim Abed, partner at East Asia for Computing Systems, commented on the new Philips and AOC partnership. “With our rich experience, loyal channel and customer case, we are looking to forge [a] strong partnership that will lead to a sustainable business model for both of us. East Asia for Computing Systems was established in 2000. The company has transformed into a group of companies over the years, with some of the brands including Canon, Dell, Acer, Huawei, Samsung and many others.
