Redstor announces new mobile app Redstor Mobile

Redstor, a data management company, has launched a new application that will give customers access to their data by using their mobile phones. Redstor aims to offer “rich visibility of an entire data estate, wherever it is stored-while strong encryption takes care of security.”

Redstor Mobile, available for both iOS and Android, will allow customers to:

  • Connect and manage multiple accounts on a single device
  • Browse, share and download files
  • Monitor usage trends
  • View history and status of backup tasks

Redstor developed the app in response to customer demand and feedback. The company claims to be making life easier for IT staff by replacing repetitive tasks, managing data and removing complexity. “This new mobile app provides users with data management and access to data wherever they are. It is free to download, available to all Redstor cloud customers and is already attracting great interest,” said Thomas Campbell, Technical Services Director at Redstor.

Redstor is taking steps to significantly increase its revenue by 2020. To this end, they plan on targetting certain key areas, such as data growth, compliance, data recovery from ransomware attacks, flexible cloud integration and reducing investment in primary storage. Redstor also claims to help businesses and organisations simplify deployment and billing, improve security and obtain borderless visibility for their entire data cache.
