South Africa: AWS launches innovative Pop Up Loft in Johannesburg.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has launched a Pop Up Loft in Sandton, Johannesburg in March.

The Pop Up Loft is a space created for customers and enterprises to learn more about emerging innovation around cloud computing. The Pop Up Loft will offer a variety of activities, including technical sessions, workshops and in-person AWS technical and business guidance from AWS experts like Synthesis Software Technologies (Synthesis).

As a sponsor, Synthesis invites members of the community to explore the benefits of AWS while learning from industry experts about how to power business agility in the digital age.

Michael Shapiro, Synthesis MD, said: “This is an easy, engaging way for anyone interested to get a sense of AWS’ capabilities and to meet and question some of the leading experts in the field. It’s a one-stop shop for developers, architects and CTOs to access local technical resources and expertise to help them build robust and successful cloud-powered applications.”

The Synthesis team will be presenting at three sessions:

Synthesis Hackathon: Navigating the Amazon with serverless and kubernetes
18 March, 10:00am – 5:00pm, with Synthesis Software Engineers

Setting up your cloud business office for success
27 March, 2:00pm – 3:00pm with Darren Bak, Synthesis Lead Cloud Analyst

InvestSure customer success story: Going live at digital speed, safeguarding online investors
