Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 will be livestreamed on YouTube

YouTube will livestream the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 on 2 December, from 14:00 South Africa Standard Time (GMT +2). Fans who are unable to attend the event in Johannesburg can head to Global Citizen’s YouTube channel to watch it live. They can also check out YouTube Music’s 2018 Global Citizen Fest: Mandela 100 playlist.

The Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 will see artists including Beyoncé & JAY-Z, Black Coffee, Cassper Nyovest, D’banj, Ed Sheeran, Eddie Vedder, Femi Kuti, Kacey Musgraves, Pharrell Williams & Chris Martin, Sho Madjozi, Tiwa Savage, Usher, and Wizkid alongside world leaders to unite in an effort to end extreme poverty by 2030.

Trevor Noah will host the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 with co-hosts Naomi Campbell, Dave Chappelle, Danai Gurira, Sir Bob Geldof, Gayle King, Bonang Matheba, Nomzamo Mbatha, Tyler Perry, and Andele Mdoda.

Oprah Winfrey will deliver a special keynote address at the Festival remembering Nelson Mandela and his legacy.

In addition to live streaming the one-day event on Global Citizen’s YouTube channel, creators on YouTube from the US and South Africa are creating content leading into the event and live stream, plus encouraging people to take action. Creators include Rhett & Link, EhBeeFamily, Mihlali N, Pap Culture, and Microwave Boys.
