Mobile app let’s estate agents do almost all their work from their smartphones

Roundr is an iOS and Android mobile app designed specifically to allow realtors to complete almost all of their work from their smartphones.

After almost 2 years in development, Roundr the mobile app created to address the specific needs of real estate agents has launched on both the iOS and Play Stores today.

Deceptively simple to use, Roundr focuses on the day to day tasks and relationship between estate agent and seller. It collates, organises, and  places all relevant information on one versatile platform. The app allows agents to add their listings, and to connect each property to its specific seller using their unique technology. The seller can then receive, amend, and cancel viewing requests as part of a scheduling cycle between their agent and themselves, or multiple agents – when there is a buyers agent involved – and themselves. The agent can send immediate feedback to a seller via voicenote or text and export lists of viewings and other activity on a property.
Sourcing properties to show buyers in areas which fall outside of a realtor’s expertise is also covered by the app – all listings added onto the Roundr platform are map searchable and viewing requests are sent directly to the mandated estate agent.

Founder and former real estate agent himself, Jansen Myburgh explains that he came up with the idea for the app when he noticed a serious need for a single tool to take real-estate agents’ work online and mobile. “Basically every other industry uses technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness, but this has only been seen in buyer-facing technology and buyer management tools in the real-estate industry so far. Our idea was to turn the other way and provide real estate agents themselves with a tool to improve their efficiency and responsiveness to their sellers, and basically make their lives a whole lot simpler and more organised.”

After the first step of completing an extensive online search for the mobile app they envisioned, Myburgh and his co-founder and wife Daisy Myburgh came up empty handed and surprised. “We really thought it would exist already, but apart from a few complex scheduling apps, there was nothing specifically aimed at realtors. All the tech in the industry seems to be based around property marketing and selling without using an agency, so we noticed a real gap for us to fill and set about making the idea into a reality”.

Myburgh confirms that there is a complementary desktop version in the works, as well as further tools being added to the mobile app such as a commission tracker, and show day register among others.

The Roundr app is free to download on both the Apple App Store and the Play store, where users can make use of all features free of charge for 15 interactions and thereafter 2 per month. Subscription for unlimited use will cost users $9.99 per month.
