Ruckus Networks, an ARRIS company, has announced Bart Giordano as the company’s new Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales. Giordano will report to Ian Whiting, President of Ruckus Networks. He will be responsible for revenue, gross margin, and all aspects of Ruckus’s go-to-market activities.

“Since joining Ruckus Networks three years ago, Bart Giordano has built a top-notch global sales team,” said Ian Whiting, President, Ruckus Networks. “Bart’s been responsible for growing revenue and market share through strategic partners and verticals, and his team has secured major design wins with Google, Facebook, IBM, and Lenovo. We look forward to the continued opportunities that Bart and his team will bring to our business and our partners.”

Giordano and his team have also championed Ruckus’s thought leadership, partnerships and strategy in smart cities and large public venues. Today, Ruckus is a recognised market leader in these sectors, consistently winning major projects with large municipalities and in high-profile stadiums and arenas around the world.

Last year, Giordano established a cross-functional Cloud Services practice to accelerate recurring revenue and drive operational efficiency across the company’s SaaS portfolio. During the first half of 2018, Ruckus Cloud Wi-Fi has been one of the company’s fastest-growing products, expanding internationally. Cloudpath software has also continued its impressive growth, diversifying beyond higher education and winning major enterprise brands.

“These past three years, it’s been exciting to build our team and develop our strategy to expand our business and open new routes to market,” said Bart Giordano, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales, Ruckus Networks. “Moving ahead, I look forward to leading a world-class organisation to sell our industry-leading products and services alongside our channel partners. We’ll continue our focus to expand core vertical segments and deliver solutions that result in positive business outcomes for our customers.”

Giordano’s 20-year career includes both technical and business roles in networking, wireless, and cloud companies. Prior to joining Ruckus Networks, he led partner sales and business development at Egnyte, an enterprise software company. Previously, he held senior product management, marketing and business development roles in wireless connectivity at Marvell Semiconductor. Before Marvell, Giordano was a senior engineer at Cisco in the Security Technology Group. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
