
Vodacom customers in Gauteng, South Africa experienced difficulty making and receiving calls on Friday morning, 19 January 2018, as the telco’s voice services were reportedly down.
Users from other parts of the country revealed that they were also experiencing difficulting making and receiving calls.
The telecom operator announced on social media that it was aware of the issue and working to fix it urgently.
Vodacom is aware that certain customers in and around Gauteng are unable to make calls. Our technicians are attending to the issue as a matter of urgency to restore normal service as soon as possible. Internet connectivity is unaffected. We apologise for the inconvenience.

Vodacom later resolved the issue, but not after hundreds of customers took to Twitter to voice out their frustrations. Here are some reactions from the customers.
