What Nigerians searched on Google in 2017

On Wednesday 13 December 2017, Google revealed the results of its 2017 Year in Search, which offered up an interesting insight into what moments and trends captured the attention of Nigerians throughout the year.

The Google list revealed the interests of Nigerians with top searches across categories such as people, places, top trending news moments, music, movies and sporting stars.

The list is compiled with data collated by Google based on what Nigerians have been searching for and asking Google this year. Google processes more than 40 000 search queries every second. This translates to more than a billion searches per day and 1.2 trillion searches per year worldwide.
