Jamie Martin, a former special adviser to UK Secretary of State for Education and an Education specialist at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), has been confirmed as the keynote speaker for the upcoming 2017 Education Innovation Summit, which is set to take place on 31 May at the Radisson Blu Gautrain.
The event is expected to showcase cutting-edge technology solutions that have the potential to change the face of education. The event will also focus on helping instructors and administrators improve assessment and data collection.
Under the theme “Transforming Education With Technology” the event will be interactive with roundtable discussions and case studies from leading education experts, policy makers, service providers and EduTech entrepreneurs, all sharing their experiences on what works and what does not.
As a Senior adviser to UK government, Martin is responsible for overseeing radical reform of school system. He is a part of Deloitte’s UK and Dubai offices, while also an adviser on strategy, focused on Africa, to international education companies/VC funds.
Martin has worked on fundraising, operations and growth with education start ups in SA & Ghana. He has also been involved in the growth strategy, fundraising ($80M) & market entry for a Middle East school chain and several due diligence projects for top private equity firms on education assets.
