
Over twenty speakers have been announced for the upcoming African Innovator Round Table: Financial Innovation Summit, an annual one-day summit exploring innovation in financial services. The Summit will be held on October 28 at Radisson Blu Gautrain Hotel, Sandton, Johannesburg.
The African Innovator Round Tables: Financial Innovation Summit is a multi-stakeholder initiative that brings together finance executives, non-governmental organizations, technology service providers, telcos, government functionaries, and intergovernmental agencies concerned with ensuring the growth of the financial services sector on the continent.

Mortimer Hope: Director Africa – GSMA
Mortimer Hope joined the GSMA in July 2014 as Director Spectrum and Public Policy in Africa and was promoted to Director Africa in February 2015.
In this role he provides leadership to the Spectrum and Public Policy teams in Africa and coordinates the work of the GSMA Africa office in Nairobi.
Prior to the GSMA he was Executive Head of Division for Technical Regulation at Vodacom
Brian Richardson: Chief Executive Officer – Wizzit International
Educated at Wits University with a BCom and an MBA. Currently a Founding Director and CEO of WIZZIT International, a global pioneer in mobile banking and financial inclusion.
WIZZIT was launched in South Africa in November 2004 and in providing affordable banking to the mass market was the first to launch as part of its offering, cell phone banking that works across all the networks and all phones and SIM cards.
Berdine Viljoen: Chief Information Officer – Sasfin Group
Berdine’s career in IT, Organisational Development and Strategy was formed when she was appointed as part of an Electronic Business team for Siemens South Africa in 2000.
It was already then that a new approach to project management and execution was used by the team today known as Agile.
Berdine continued on the path of E-business, Global Programme and Project Management and Organisational Development when she joined Sappi 2005.
Fundile Ntuli: Chief Information Officer – Ubank
Mr. Ntuli’s career started at ABSA as an IT cadet in 1994. He joined Standard Bank four years later.
His first formal role in management was with Zurich Financial Services in 2004. He returned to ABSA to head up its entry level banking technology before a post as senior manager for financial systems at Postbank.

Evans Munyuki: Head of Digital for Retail and Business Bank – Barclays Africa Group Limited Evans Munyuki has been with the Barclays Africa Group for almost five years, bringing a varied mix of international and emerging-markets leadership and management experience.
He is the Head of Digital for the Group’s Retail & Business Bank with responsibility across all 13 countries (including South Africa) where Barclays Africa does business.
23+ years of professional experience with business leadership & IT Portfolio Management experience, Digital experience – Successfully delivered 300+ Projects including Business Transformation projects in complex architecture environments, Technology Transformation projects, Application Development projects, Infrastructure projects, and Digital projects in the USA, EMEA, AP & South Africa, in 3 major listed companies.
Chandima Miyanadeniya: CIO – AON SA
Miyanadeniya has over 20 years’ experience in technology and is currently focused on technology convergence in the areas of data, fixed line and mobile communications.
Chandima has worked in various organisations in Sub-Saharan Africa and has been involved with the architecture and design of insurance applications within the region. His specialist areas lie in strategy, technology integration, contract negotiations and cost reduction methodologies. He holds a B.Eng in Electronics and Telecommunications and a Masters in Industrial Engineering.
Derrydean Dadzie: Chief Executive Officer – DreamOval Ghana Limited
Derrydean Dadzie is a Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at DreamOval Limited, a company whose single-minded intent is to Innovate for the Good of the World and Humanity through technology.
After completing Ashesi University with a Computer Science Degree, Derry and three other classmates started DreamOval Limited.

Valter Adao: Lead Director and Innovation Leader – Deloitte Digital Africa & Innovation leader
Valter leads Deloitte Digital in Africa and is the firm’s Innovation leader in the same region.
As the former leader and founding Director of Monitor Deloitte in Africa, Valter brings Strategy and Innovation capabilities and thinking into Deloitte Digital which is the intersect of Strategic and Innovation thinking, Emerging and Exponential Technologies and Creative Design.
Dare Okoudjou Founder and CEO MFS Africa Ltd
Dare is the Founder and CEO of MFS Africa, a pan-African Fintech company that operates the largest mobile money hub in Africa connecting over 65 million mobile money users in 20 countries.
He began his career as Management Consultant with PWC Consulting in Paris before joining MTN Group where he developed the Group’s mobile payment strategy and subsequently led its implementation. Dare is Benin citizen; he holds an MSEE from Telecom-Paris (France) and an MBA from INSEAD (France/Singapore).
