It is the one smart phone app that everyone needs, from socialites getting to and from the hottest party, to sporting fans and families needing a reliable service.

The South African cab industry is set to change forever as SnappCab, the locally produced app, offers commuters with smart phones the ability to order, track and pay for cabs easily and quickly.

The app is free to download from www.snappcab.com, and is immediately available for Apple and Android enabled smart phones, with Blackberry and Windows launching shortly after.

Once the app is downloaded, users need only log in and register their details once, and their account will be automatically activated. Users can rate their experience through the app, giving valuable information to other users, while incentivising drivers to give the best possible service. Frequent users and credit card payments are rewarded by earning SnappMiles, which can be redeemed for services as the application evolves.

SnappCab can solve more challenges than just those faced by regular commuters – for example, more than one person can be given access to a SnappCab account. This means that children can carry a phone loaded with the application and call a cab when they are ready to go home from a school or social activity, and that employees could be given access to a company account for any transport emergencies.
