Leading Enterprise Communication technology company Aastra, which has a solid base in North Africa and the Middle East, was named Enterprise Telephony Vendor of the Year.

The award, handed out in Dubai, at the second annual Network World Middle East Awards for the regions networking champions, has solidified Aastra as a leader in the region, with Tunisian analysts saying it shows that buttressing the IT infrastructure can achieve success in terms of network development.

“Aastra’s success and Tunisia’s move into the upper echelon of countries in terms of IT infrastructure shows that through solid business practices, good things can happen,” said one analyst.

“The Enterprise Telephony Vendor of the Year award was granted to Aastra for its outstanding performance and significant impact on the market. The criteria for winning included a variety of indicators, including product innovation, quality of services, major customer wins and commitment to the region,” said Jeevan Thankappan, Senior Editor at Network World Middle East.

Aastra has been instrumental in providing IP Telephony solutions and multimedia contact centers to major customers across the region, North Africa in particular and Korek Telecom, Bank Pasargad and HiConnect Call Center.

Aastra’s Vice-President for MENA operations Roger Hage said that the company is “honored to receive such a recognition, which rewards our efforts and successes in the Middle East. We have a dedicated and highly motivated specialist team, which is committed to quality, value and innovation with a passionate attitude towards satisfying customers.”
