IBM executives have announced the launch of new technology products and services to meet the needs of Nigeria’s business sector. This was announced in a meeting with local government leaders and enterprises aimed at addressing the future of technology in the country.
In the meeting held last week, the IT giant and Nigerian government discussed improving the banking and telecom sectors with IT solutions designed, this in furtherance of Nigeria’s Vision 2020 , noted Nigerian publication Vanguard.
Following the discussions, IBM presented new offerings in the areas of business analytics and service management to improve the visibility and manageability of information in enterprises, while reducing costs and improving customer service.
“Clients in Nigeria are keen to leverage best of breed offerings to address their sophisticated requirements and leapfrog the competition as they transform the way they work and become more competitive — both within the country and on the global stage”, said Mario Passalacqua, Director, IBM Software Sales.
The new solutions, namely Smart Analytics and Transactional Systems, will help companies to manage their businesses more efficiently, “paving the way for the future growth and development of the country”, he added. Both address real time data and extensive transactions needed in the banking sector.
