Motorola acquires SecureMedia

Motorola announced today that it signed a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of SecureMedia LLC, a developer of software-based digital rights management (DRM) and security systems for IP video distribution and management.

The acquisition, set to strengthen Motorola’s IP Video Portfolio, is expected to close in the first quarter of the current year, with SecureMedia becoming part of Motorola’s Home & Networks Mobility business.
