Alcatel-Lucent set to reduce the carbon footprint in ICT industry


Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs will announce next week a major eco initiative for the ICT industry during a press conference in London on Monday, January 11, announced the company officials.

The event, to be held at Altitude 360, MillbankTower 21-24 Millbank in central London, is expected to bring on the table green issues like reducing the carbon footprint of ICT industry and rethink the way communications, data networks and Internet impact our lives.

The hosts, Ben Verwaayen, CEO Alcatel-Lucent and Jeong Kim, President Bell Labs, will be accompanied by several guests from academia and industry.

Alcatel-Lucent is a leader in fixed, mobile and converged broadband networking, IP technologies, applications and services for service providers, enterprises and governments worldwide, providing solutions to deliver voice, data and video communication services to end-users in more than 130 countries.
