Actix, recognized leader in mobile Network Status Management (NSM) and Self-Optimizing Network (SON) systems, announced today a new office opening in Dubai Media City, United Arab Emirates. The recently added location will serve as a connecting point for optimizing and enhancing the profitability of mobile networks in Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Recent reports from Informa Telecoms and Media forecast an increase in Middle East’s subscription base by 34% over the period 2008 to 2012, from 144 million to 193 million, while most mobile markets in the Gulf area are expected to reach their maturity stage in the stated period. It is reported that penetration rates will reach an excess of 100% by 2012, including the UAE with a predicted 257%.
“Networks are becoming fully loaded with data traffic and operators are well underway with their LTE plans to ease network pressure and fuel the next phase of data growth,” said Alex Hawker, CEO of Actix, whose mobile cost effective solutions will enable the Middle East to manage better network traffic and increase revenue per user.
