SOUTH Africa will in September hold GovTech 2009 where prevailing conditions in the information and communications technology sector will be discussed.
The event, scheduled for 13-16 September, will be sponsored by South Africa State Information Technology Agency (SITA).
“GovTech underscores SITA’s commitment to provide an ICT thought leadership platform that not only showcases the latest technologies, solutions and trends, but also brings together diverse stakeholders across the public and private sectors,” said SITA.
GovTech, a substantive, value-packed learning opportunity strategically developed to meet the current needs of ICT professionals and decision-makers from all spheres of government, seeks to establish an
ongoing public-private sector dialogue for success.
The inaugural GovTech 2006 conference brought together more than 900 government and ICT industry representatives at Sun City, from 30 October to 3 November.
The second GovTech 2007 event, which took place in Cape Town from 20 to 23 August, had a record attendance of close to 1400 delegates.
