Bidorbuy.co.za, a South African online auction and market site, has announced that it is hosting a series of Celebrities for Charities auctions where bidders will compete for the opportunity to meet and spend time with their favourite celebrity.
The participating charities include Ikamva Youth, an organisation that provides disadvantaged secondary school learners with skills education, and Matla a Bana, an organization dedicated to fighting child abuse.
Says Andy Higgins, director of Bidorbuy.co.za: “Many more charities are interested in participating, which means that the list of celebrities is set to increase. Together with the bidders, they will all be working for the common goal of helping those who need help the most.”
Celebrities that are participating in the initiative include Pieter Dirk Uys, Edith Venter and Fiona Coyne.
