Thami Msimango has been appointed as Managing Director of the Telkom International Business Unit, one of three newly created operating units that became functional under the new Telkom Group structure from the beginning of the month.
“The appointment of Thami as MD will go a long way towards supporting the strategic focus and vision of the Telkom International Business Unit as well as in refocusing the overall imperatives of the Telkom Group. I have no doubt that his experience will help Telkom realise the anticipated revenue streams from our acquisition of Multi-Links,” said Telkom Group CEO, Reuben September.
Having joined Telkom in 1984, Msimango progressed through the ranks and gained widespread experience in critical areas such as business process re-engineering as well as network planning and construction.
He retains his position as MD of Multi-Links, a 100 percent-Telkom-owned Nigerian private telecommunications operator. The new appointment at Tekom International is effective immediately.
