Nokia announces software update for 5800 XpressMusic model

nokia_5800.jpgNokia has released a software update for one of its music playing devices – the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. The update is intended to enhance performance and provide additional functionality to users.

The software update is immediately available for download on Nokia’s Software Update website.
Improvements in the new software include faster Internet data download performance, an improved e-mail application and better search functionality with in-device search. There are also new camcorder features, second camera support for still image capture, burst mode that allows taking multiple pictures in, and a mobile built-in dictionary functionality with voice playback of words utilizing text-to-speech technology. This includes support for 38 languages.

Says Soren Petersen, Senior Vice President, Devices at Nokia: “The update includes great improvements in the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. As mobile devices become more and more advanced, additional features and new functionalities are easy to install to the existing device. We recommend people to take advantage of the new features and upgrade their Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, and get more from their existing device,”
