SONY Ericsson has launched the imperious C510 which will hit the African market soon.
The company believes the gadget, which it said was one of its most affordable Cybershot devices, will be a hit with consumers worldwide.
“The C510 Cyber-shot will make Sony Ericsson’s camera phone experience accessible to even more consumers and markets worldwide,” Sony Ericsson said.
It added, “Sony Ericsson has introduced the beautifully simple C510 Cyber-shot, its most affordable Cyber-shot phone to date, and an application upgrade to the C905 Cyber-shot phone, currently at the top of the charts across the globe.”
Among other features of the C510 is the Smile Shutter technology, which it said will also be added to the 8.1 megapixel camera phone C905 Cyber-shot.
“More consumers can now enjoy the Cyber-shot experience, without compromising on quality. Sony Ericsson continues to push design and innovation, as well as work with the best partners in the industry, to provide existing consumers and consumers in new markets the chance to enjoy the benefits of mobile photography.
“The accessible C510 Cyber-shot handset is jammed packed with the highest quality imaging technology and encased in a stylish handset design expected from Sony Ericsson,” the
company said.
Sony Ericsson is a top global industry player with sales of over 100 million phones as of 2007.
With operations in over 80 countries, including manufacturing in China, Europe, India, Japan and North America, it was established as a 50-50 joint venture by Sony and Ericsson in October 2001, with global corporate functions located in London–ITNewsAfrica.
