Though MTN offers subscribers free airtime between 12:30am and 4:30am, it is common knowledge that it’s rather difficult, if not outright impossible, to get a call through.
This is obviously because people seek to take advantage of the free airtime, in the process of which they simply jam the air.
On several occasions, I tried to make calls for which I was ready to pay, but the calls simply won’t go.
Last weekend at the Redemption Camp, where we had gone for the monthly Holy Ghost programme, it was practically impossible to contact fellow MTN subscribers, courtesy of the free airtime!
If MTN cannot carry the call load that comes with free airtime, perhaps it could find a better way of compensating its teeming subscribers.
For now, I’ve resorted to using another line, just to get round the nightmare.
Midnight may not be the best time for free call, after all.
MTN and other networks should therefore reconsider.

MTN Nigeria’s free midnight airtime

I personaly thing that the idea of stopping free night calls which happens to be the only which serves as a means of reward to MTN’s loyalties is not just the best idea, as the air will still be jamed as you do complain with or without the night calls.
Rather I do sugest that they should map out another swift that will manage those numbers that are assigned to those night calls. Or better still see another business of making available special lines that will be viod of these air jam whether day or night.
Equaly MTN and other network providers should bring out better means of encouraging those that use their boster cards services to differenciate it from private users a better their aids.
