Speaking at the recent product launch, which took place at The Core in Sunninghill, Liz Halifax-Smith, Nuance sales manager UK and Africa
said: “Nuance is pleased to have found a business partner whose market footprint is already well established on the African continent.”
Workgroup will be responsible for distribution of Nuance products into 17 African countries.
“This is exciting news for the software channel,” says Gladwel Soko, Nuance product manager at Workgroup. “Through this distribution agreement, we will be able to offer the South African software market an opportunity to get Nuance products much quicker and easier than before.
“Nuance technologies, applications and services make the user experience more compelling by transforming the way people interact with information and how they create, use and share documents. With Dragon Naturally Speaking, for example, people will be able to create documents, emails and reports up to three times faster than they can type by using their voice to create such documents,” says Soko.
Nuance range of products include Dragon Naturally Speaking 10, which is a speech recognition software, OmniPage 16, an OCR software, PDF Converter 5 family, for use in the creation, conversion and editing of PDF documents and PaperPort 11, which is a software solution used to organise, find and share both paper and digital documents.

  1. As I was going through this article I was mainly interested in the new product of Naunce, the Dragon Naturally Speaking 10. It sound to be an excelent product. We only used to witness this kind of high tech in Hollywood Sci-Fi Action movies, but now no longer futuristic, too good to be true. Can’t wait to have it.
