Netcom Africa took the award of best Vsat (Very small aperture terminal) company and best Broadband company of the year 2008 at the 2008 edition of the Nigerian Telecoms Awards.
Sean Hsu, Managing Director of Netcom Africa, expressed his joy for the double award given to the company and promised that the company will not relent in providing excellent services to its customers all over Africa.
Hsu said the Nigerian telecommunication industry has been transformed since Vsat came into the market in 2004 with innovative services.
Mary Ephraim, Marketing and Public Relations Manager of Netcom Africa, said she is proud of the company for its outstanding products and services which is made available for individuals, organizations and government in different packaged plans.
Netcom Africa is the first company in Nigeria to receive IPv6 allocation, which makes Nigeria the 100th country in the world to be on the IPv6 network. It is also the first company to provide a viable Ku Band Vsat in West Africa.
