iPhone and iPod Touch users have downloaded more than 100 million applications from the App Store since it was launched two months ago.
According to Mobile Today, a UK based company, although the figure is impressive the download rate is slowing down from the 60 million downloaded during the first month.
The store holds more than 3,000 applications, 600 of which are free to download, and 90% costing less than £5.70.
Last month Apple revealed the App Store had made about £17 million in sales last month.
The App Store on iPhone works over 3G networks and Wi-Fi, so users can wirelessly download applications directly onto their iPhone or iPod touch and start using them immediately.
