Blackberry Smartphone giveaway at INSITE 2008

ITNewsAfrica.com gave away a BlackBerry 8110 Smartphone at the International Science, Innovation and Technology Exhibition (INSITE) at the Sandton Convention Centre last Wednesday.
Johan Coertzen of Integrity Engineering left the exhibition centre a proud owner of a brand new BlackBerry smartphone after his name was drawn at a raffle conducted by ITNewAfrica.com publisher, Abby Wakama.
“I am so happy, it’s unbelievable, I never thought I would win!,” Coertzen said.
The BlackBerry Pearl 8110 smartphone comes complete with advanced phone features, multimedia, digital camera, video recording, built-in GPS and expandable memory.
It offers the full BlackBerry experience—email, browser, text messaging (SMS and MMS), instant messaging, organizer applications and more.

The raffle was held in the Obsidian Theatre at INSITE 08 where visitors were invited to drop their business cards in a box upon entering the theatre. The draw was conducted after Muggie van Staden, Managing Director of Obsidian gave his address on Interoperability, Open Systems, Open Standards and Open Source.
