More than 120 faculty members from 14 countries across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) will take part in a new advanced IT skills training program as part of the Oracle Academy’s continued commitment to preparing students for 21st century careers.
The participating faculty members currently teach the Oracle Academy’s Advanced Computer Science program or Enterprise Business Applications program, which provide students with vital business and technology skills that are in-demand in a global economy.
Participating educators will have the opportunity to gain new technology skills, enhance the quality of their curriculum and strengthen their course offerings. In addition, each participant who successfully completes the training will have the opportunity to become an Oracle Certified Professional.
The training will take place between July through October in seven countries – Egypt, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Poland, Romania and Slovakia. The curriculum will focus on database programming, SOA, Data Warehousing and Java programming.
This training event is designed to support the sizable growth of the Oracle Academy across the region. The Oracle Academy recently reached the significant milestone of supporting 1900 educational institutions and 277,000 students in 59 countries across EMEA.
“The Oracle Academy offers an intensive curriculum that results in top-notch business and technology training,” said Clare Dolan, Vice President, Oracle Corporate Citizenship. “We achieve these results through high-touch, comprehensive instructor training programs like the one we are offering to our EMEA teachers. These programs help ensure that students develop the latest skills required to meet the demands of a global workforce and we are proud to help prepare them for success in 21st century careers.”
