AGIS, IT provider to AG Industries, a group of companies that fabricate value-added glass and aluminium products, components
and finished products for wholesale distribution, has contracted Harvey Jones to replace its home-grown, proprietary business
intelligence (BI) tool with a Microsoft-based, comprehensive BI system.
The new system will use SQL Server 2005 and ProClarity with an upgrade path to PerformancePoint Server 2007 early next year, says Keith Jones, MD of Harvey Jones.
AGIS has undergone Harvey Jones BI Best Practice training in order to align all AG Industries business units before development of the new BI solution commences.
Microsoft acquired ProClarity in June 2006 and has subsequently integrated the product’s advanced visualisation and analysis
technologies into its Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 alongside Business Scorecard Manager 2005.
