South African digital systems aggregator and solutions provider, Nexio has appointed Mickey Mashale as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with effect from 1 August 2020.
Mashale has been holding fort as interim acting CEO for the organisation from March this year will be leading a strong team tasked with driving the company’s digital transformation strategy to greater heights. She joined the organisation from Vodacom where she held the position of Chief Sales Officer since February 2018.
Commenting on the announcement, Nexio Board Chairperson, William Mzimba says “We are pleased to welcome Mickey Mashale as the new Chief Executive Officer of Nexio. Mickey is recognised as one of the industry’s distinguished female business thought leaders. During her reign as interim acting CEO, Mickey has demonstrated a range of industry experience that has already produced positive results for the company, employees, stakeholders and its customers.”
Mashale was previously the Managing Executive & Head of Region for Vodafone Global Enterprise and was responsible for strategy, revenue retention, growth and expansion of Vodafone customers, for the Sub-Saharan Region and brings over 20 years experience in the Industry from locally and abroad.
The newly appointed CEO says, “I look forward to taking up the position at such an exciting time where the company is on a digital journey to enable and transform its customer experience as a trusted IT partner for the digital future.”
Mashale is a member of the IoDSA (International Institute of Directors South Africa) and an MBA Graduate from Wits Business School.
