Attention all Apple aficionados, the tech giant recently unveiled a whole host of new and exciting products – the hardware extravaganza took place on Tuesday, 10 September 2019, at the Steve Jobs Theater on the Apple Park campus – but the showstopper was undoubtedly the latest series of iPhones.
The 2019 iPhone lineup includes three new models; the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. And now, these devices are available for pre-order in South Africa from online retail platform, Takealot.com. Here is a closer look at the devices and how much they’ll cost:
iPhone 11
The latest flagship iPhone is coming in new colours that include white, black, yellow, red, lavender, and green. It boasts a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina display, 2 rear camera lenses (12-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a new 12-megapixel ultrawide camera with a 120-degree field of view), a A13 Bionic chip – which according to Apple, it’s the fastest CPU/GPU ever used by a smartphone – capable of 1 trillion operations per second.
The device will come in a 64GB, 128GB and 256GB costing R14 999, R16 799 and R18 999 respectively.
iPhone 11 Pro
The iPhone 11 Pro sports new colours including midnight green, space grey, silver, and gold. The device is coming with a 5.8-inch Super Retina XDR screen, improved battery life (4 hours more than the iPhone XS), 3 cameras (2-megapixel wide-angle lens, 12-megapixel telephoto lens and 12-megapixel ultrawide lens with 120-degree field of view) and 4K video recording including Night Mode.
The Pro will come in 64GB, 256GB and 512GB options costing R21 999, R25 999 and R29 999 respectively.
iPhone Pro Max
Wrapping up the 2019 iPhone line up is the iPhone Pro Max. Just like the Pro, the Pro Max will be available midnight green, space grey, silver, and gold. It boasts a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR screen, 3 cameras (2-megapixel wide-angle lens, 12-megapixel telephoto lens and 12-megapixel ultrawide lens with 120-degree field of view) and a Deep Fusion feature that’s coming later in 2019 – shoots 9 images, selects the best pixels, and optimises for details and low noise.
Similarly to the Pro, the Pro Max will come in 64GB, 256GB and 512GB options however it costs R23 999, R27 899 and R32 399 respectively.
Pre-orders of these devices are said to begin shipping on Friday, 27 September 2019.
