Huawei PY Prime 2019 set to launch on 1 August 2019.

On Thursday, 25 July 2019, Huawei announced that its YP Prime 2019 is officially set to launch in South Africa on 1 August 2019.  The company said ‘as part of our promise to constantly improve its products, this new device will flaunt some great new elements. These features include an Auto Pop-Up Selfie Camera, a triple rear camera, a long-life battery, impressive storage, and the Huawei Ultra FullView Display screen’.

The Pop-Up Selfie Camera can be found tucked away neatly into the top of the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019. This smart camera automatically ‘pops-up’ within a second of being activated, removing unnecessary bezels from the appearance of the phone.

As small as the camera may seem, it packs an impressive 16MP lens. Couple this with unique AI camera technologies and 3D portrait lighting features, this ‘hidden gem’ is said to yield stunning, high-quality selfies. After being meticulously tested, this feature is able to deliver over 100,000 pop-ups and retractions with ease.

In addition to the selfie-camera, The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 boasts a powerful triple rear camera set up. The configuration is set up as16MP, 8MP and 2MP lenses respectively.

Sporting a 4000mAh battery, as well as its Kirin 710f chipset, the device is able to provide hours of uninterrupted gaming, browsing and networking. The storage capacity of the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 can be jacked up to RAM 4GB and ROM 128GB with an SD card.

The Y9 Prime 2019 – like most Huawei devices – comes pre-installed with the Huawei AppGallery, where users can enjoy online shopping options, explore online banking and stay up to date with the latest news.

The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 can be pre-ordered from 24 July 2019 on Huawei’s online store for $382,98.
