Samsung’s Unpacked event has been announced for the 20th of February where its latest Galaxy S flagship phones are expected to be revealed. 2019 marks the 10th anniversary of the Galaxy series, notable on the invitation with a prominent number 10. It has also been speculated that the number is tied to the launch of the S10. A double whammy, perhaps.
It is rumoured that Samsung will be showing off the infamous foldable phone it has been teasing for the past several months in addition to the revelation of three variants of the Galaxy S10.
Strangely the event, taking place at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, is set only a week before Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, an event where Samsung usually announces its flagship Galaxy S phones. It is likely that the company will save all of its 5G related announcements for MWC instead, considering that 5G technology is expected to be one of the main draws for the summit in Spain.
