The first flagship smartphone from Xiaomi’s new sub-brand will be introduced on August 22, but reports and leaked footage have already revealed almost all there is to know about the Pocophone F1.
Xiaomi, one of the original ‘affordable’ smartphone pioneers, will follow in the footsteps of Huawei and BBK by introducing a sub-brand for an even more budget-friendly range, to compete with the likes of Honor and OnePlus.

Apart from the Geekbench listing, a leaked POCOPHONE F1 unboxing video is also floating around YouTube. This video provides a detail and an in-depth look at the smartphone. The POCOPHONE F1 will be the brand’s not only the first smartphone but also the first flagship offering, which also means that the smartphone will be aggressively priced around around Rs. 29,999.
According to the video, the display on the POCOPHONE F1 will be a 5.99-inch IPS LCD panel with 2246 x 1080 px resolution. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and the overall build of the smartphone has a plastic finish. The Geekbench listing suggests that the smartphone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. This SoC uses the Adreno 630 GPU for graphics intensive task. The smartphone has a triple camera setup with dual rear-facing sensors. It consists of a combination of 12 MP + 6MP sensors. While the front-facing is a 20 MP sensor.
Reports also state that the device comes with supporting Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and powering the POCOPHONE F1 is a 4,000 mAh Li-Ion battery. This massive battery should be enough for the phone to last for at least a day on single charge.
The phone will be officially unveiled on August 22, in New Delhi, India.
