
It’s true what they say, dynamite really does come in small packages. The ASUS Zenbook 3 is proof of this and at just 910g and 3mm high, the device has impressive features.
The Asus Zenbook 3 is light, thin and easy on the eyes, bluntly put, the device is beautiful, sophisticated and impressively powerful. A perfect match for people who are always on the go, the laptop fits perfectly in your handbag or backpack.
While the device comes in at just 11.9mm thin. It also comes with either a 7th-generation Intel Core i7-7500U processor or an i5-7200U processor.
Apart from being incredibly thin, the laptop has a full metal housing, with a single USB-C port on the right side of the frame. It was a little disappointing to see that the device has only one port, but there was a lot to make up for that. To add to that, the same port is used for charging, connecting external accessories and anything else you would otherwise need a port for such as connecting your wireless mouse.
Asus offers a series of accessories that allow you to charge and connect multiple devices to your shiny new computer simultaneously. But, it’s yet another thing you have to buy and then worry about carrying around with you.
As USB-C continues to creep into numerous products we use on a daily basis, not being able to connect more than one item to a laptop at a time is still a limitation.
The trackpad is smooth and there is a fingerprint sensor in the top right-hand corner of the trackpad. Multitasking and hopping between tabs and apps is effortless. The performance of the device was magnificent making it a breeze to go about daily tasks. The keyboard is smooth which in turn offers good typing performance.
When it comes to display, the laptop has a LED-backlit Full HD screen with anti-glare. The Zenbook 3 can meet the current expectations for this size and price class. It comes with 1920×1080 pixels, which results in a higher pixel density of 176 PPI on the 12.5-inch screen. The device also has a powerful four-speaker audio system which ASUS partnered with audiophile specialists Harman Kardon to incorporate.
The Zenbook is available in three colours namely, sophisticated Rose Gold, nature-inspired Quartz Grey and luxurious Royal Blue. The Gold trimmings on the edges of the laptop pop out perfectly on the Royal blue, this adds on to the already classy design. The Zenbook 3 has a unibody designed and crafted entirely from aerospace-grade 6013 aluminium alloy, which makes the build quality of the device brilliant.

The ASUS ZenBook 3 is a powerhouse for aesthetics and it can easily handle even some of the more intense tasks you can throw at it. The device offers decent battery life but with multiple tabs and programs open it will not last the whole day. It is a bonus that the laptop has fast charging technology, which allows you to use the laptop soon after the battery runs out.
The ZenBook 3 is a slick and powerful laptop that also features Windows 10 Pro. It is stylish and bold with a very comfortable keyboard. This laptop is one of the best thin-and-light machines on the market, it is definitely a killer device. Asus has done a fantastic job with this lightweight powerhouse.
