PlayStation Plus price increase hits South Africa.

PlayStation Plus members are in for a shock from the end of August 2017 as the service will be receiving a price hike. The latest PlayStation Plus price increase, which will be effective from 00:01 BST on 31 August 2017, will see the price for the service increase to the following:

  • The yearly subscription will increase from R749.00 to R899.00 per annum.
  • Quarterly, the price will increase from R219.00 to R349.00 per quarter.
  • Monthly, the price will increase from R 99.00 to R 109.00 per month

For those looking to cash in on the cheaper price, it’s best to purchase a subscription before the increase. A PlayStation Plus Membership is definitely worth it, whether you own a PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, or PlayStation Vita. Not many subscription services offer good value for money; however, it seems as though PlayStation has gone out of its way to not only offer free games each month, but also Cloud Storage, online multiplayer, and discounted games. To add to the mix you also gain early access to game demos and betas, which is most definitely a plus.
