Triple H, a hosting, backup and disaster recovery service provider has partnered with Zerto. The company realized the challenge in moving data between premise, hosted servers and providers when each provider and customer owns various types of hardware and software. Triple H saw VMware award winner, Zerto as a fitting partner with satisfying functionalities.
Triple H was looking for a tool that could easily replicate to and from various hypervisors, moving only the data that is selected and able to replicate to any hardware to multiple sites at the same time. The software also needed to have minimal to no disruption on production performance at all times.
After testing Zerto, Triple H found that it was extremely easy to set up and use from the word go, it had the most flexible options and great built in hypervisor aware components. It is completely hardware agnostic, can replicate from VMware to Hyper-V and vice versa without any performance impact and the need to put the same hardware at the DR sites. The time engineers spend to check each job has dramatically reduced because of the simplicity of the management console and the ability to group VM’s to form a VPG (Virtual Protection Group) and ensure application consistency when failover occurs have made our lives much easier.
No Snapshots – the service provider also found that it works different to other technologies by not using snapshots, this meant that there was no performance impact on production performance and smaller hardware footprint. Zerto is also able to replicate one site to many which meant that we can replicate almost any environment to anywhere.
