At Mobile World Congress 2015 (MWC), HTC unveiled its latest device – the HTC One M9. At the reveal event HTC unveiled the following specifications for its latest device.
The HTC One M9 has a similar design to its predecessors, the HTC M7 and M8; however, this time around, the latest device comes with a 5-inch full HD screen. To add to this, the HTC One M9 packs in the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip set – which is a 64-bit octa-core processor.
Much like the Samsung Galaxy S6, which was also launched at MWC 2015, the HTC One M9 also features the Android 5.0 operating system. According to HTC, the HTC One M9 will feature 3G RAM, a 2,840 mAh battery, 32 GB internal storage and a microSD card slot supporting up to 128 GB additional storage capacity.
HTC has upgraded the camera and packed in a 20 megapixel rear camera – which comes with dynamic exposure algorithm software in order to adjust automatically to light conditions. To add to this, HTC revealed that the rear camera can also shoot movies in 4K resolution. The front facing camera also comes with dynamic exposure.
HTC has also revealed that it has updated its Sense user interface to version 7 for the HTC One M9, and added a large range of personalisation options to the UI, including sound, notification and icon profiles.
The One M9 will launch mid-March 2015, dependent on availability and location.
