Airtel Africa and Thuraya have announced the launch of Thuraya’s mobile satellite products and services, which will span across 12 countries in Africa.
According to both parties, Thuraya’s mobile satellite products and services are available to customers in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Ghana, Kenya and Zambia.
According to Airtel, it intends to further expand into its remaining markets. Airtel Africa’s customers will now have access to voice communication, messaging, social media apps and broadband internet through Thuraya’s satellite solutions.
