Vodacom Nigeria is making a move to resolve ICT challenges in the country. According to Vodacom, its enterprise-class cloud and hosting services will enable a secure and reliable IT infrastructure that is ready for growth at a 99.982 percent rate.
According to Nkosi Kumalo, Vodacom’s Executive Head of Cloud and hosting services: “Cloud technology is effective in reducing a companies total cost of operation as well as a key factor in boosting overall productivity.”
While Cloud is seeing a high adoption rate, only a third of Nigerian businesses see the need to utilise the service. However, as companies that establish confidence in Cloud solutions will essentially move more of their solutions into the Cloud.
Kumalo stated that, “In order to achieve this, it is important that enterprises partner with a company that has a robust network and relevant skills to deliver the value that the Cloud promises.”
Kumalo concluded by saying that: “Cloud uptake is set to explode not only in Nigeria, but across Africa.”
