Durban: ICT Business Breakfast speakers revealed

Riaaz Jeena, Sales Director: Corporate Sector, Software AG

Riaaz lives his life every day by Steve Jobs’ inspiring words: “Stay hungry. Stay foolish.” This tenacious outlook on life has proven very successful for Riaaz. He says he has achieved more in his 15 years within ICT than he ever dreamt of.

As Software AG’s Sales Director, Riaaz is responsible for creating and delivering sales strategy within the Corporate Sector which includes industries such as Mining, Manufacturing, Telecommunications, Media, Retail and Logistics. Riaaz is also responsible for managing the Regional Sales Manager Teams, fostering strategic relationships with key market players and developing sales strategies, tactics and profit targets. Within 5 months of joining Software AG, Riaaz achieved 106% of the revenue target set for the Corporate Sector. His portfolio now also includes the Utilities and State Owned Enterprises Sector.

Willy Govender, Director, Link Africa

Willy Govender originates from Durban, South Africa and has around 30 years’ experience in the technology related sectors.  He is an accomplished entrepreneur having founded over 8 start-ups in his career and has a vast amount of international experience especially in India, UK, USA and China.  Willy started out in the mapping industry, and initially built his career around spatial technologies, before branching out into software development, consulting and valuations. He has a penchant for innovation and has won numerous awards including the coveted Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur award in 2009 as well as the International Award by the IAAO.

Steve Gardner, CTO, DigitLab 

Mr Digital Expert and Entrepreneur with over 10 years experience in creating digital solutions for clients around the world. His wealth of experience is unpacked in a casual, informative and insightful manner through his keynote presentations. Steve is passionate about developing innovative technical solutions for DigitLab’s clients. His objective approach and clear understanding of what is possible results in outcomes that go beyond the underlying technology to connect and engage people.
