Games publisher 505 Games and developer HB Studios has announced that all rugby fans can bring their chairs closer to their television sets, as the demo for the official Rugby World Cup 2011 videogame is now available on Xbox Live and PSN.

“The demo features England v South Africa with the match set in Auckland to give players a taste of the biggest sporting event to take place this year.

The demo is meant for players of all abilities and will give everyone a taste of the Official videogame of Rugby World Cup 2011,” 505 Games said.

The full version of the game will be launching on 26 August 2011, and players will be able to customise the difficulty setting as they are challenged to pick from the 20 participating teams and attempt to lead their team through the pool phase, and progress to the Final with the opportunity to lift the prestigious Webb Ellis Cup.
