Uganda Telecom is doing everything they can to keep their customers

Uganda Telecom has launched a mobile marketing campaign to entice users to continue using its service.

Uganda’s telecom price war is forcing the country’s mobile operators to launch aggressive marketing plans in order to maximize their profits.

The new mobile promotion, which uses the slogan “Endobo-lwali – just got juicier,” is part of a drive to capture the mobile operator’s falling customer base.

A spokesperson for the company told ITNewsAfrica that this promotion is part of their overall strategy to create momentum in a sector that currently has very little.

With the promotion, users can make free unlimited UTL to UTL calls and SMS at 50 Uganda shillings (about US $0.19) to any network in the country.

The company says its subscribers are free to use the service once daily after the user has spent 500 shillings (about US$0.19).

Ugandan users are excited about the new promotion, saying they already were using their phone, so it is an added advantage to keep calling.
