MKi9200 released for wireless in-car calls

Parrot, the manufactures of wireless peripherals for mobile phones, has released the MKi9200 for the South African market.

The car kit, with a detachable colour display, has the ability to play music from any Bluetooth stereo (A2DP) compatible devices, as well as conventional telephony functions such as pick up, hang up, dual call. It features a 2.4-inch high-resolution TFT colour screen, and the wireless remote control can be positioned on the steering wheel or dashboard, which allows the driver to control all the functions.

To ensure optimal audio quality when on the phone, the MKi9200 combines double microphone technology with new signal processing software (DSP-3) that eliminates background and surrounding noise, including noise from inside the car.

The MKi9200 can be used with up to 10 paired devices and is capable of storing up to 8000 contacts, has automatic phonebook synchronization and is compatible with virtually all cell phones via Bluetooth and has speaker independent voice recognition.

Users are also able to connect their music from multiple sources like the iPod/iPhone or any other MP3 player through an Auxiliary input. It also features an SDHC-compatible SD card reader on the side of the screen.

The screen displays the full playlist along with the name of the artist, the title and even the corresponding album cover in colour when available on the iPod, iPhone or USB flash drive.
